About Us
My name is Brenda Blackman and my first Toller came into my life in March of 2006. Originally, I was looking for a compact, energetic and fun loving companion to run with me and do agility on the side. I got that, and a whole lot more! Since that time, we've been involved in conformation, agility, rally-o and obedience. My teenage girls have recently moved away from home and therefore I have a little more time to spend with my two Tollers and husband, Kevin! Our Tollers are wonderful companions that share our active lifestyle! Growing love of the Toller breed has encouraged us to ensure quality breeding so that others can share what we have.
We breed Nova Scotia Duck Tolling Retrievers for quality temperament and versatility. Our puppies are raised in a loving family environment in our own home and begin socialization and training while they are still with us. We have very limited litters and usually have homes for puppies before they are born.
Our Tollers are naturally fed a raw B.A.R.F Diet (bones and raw food) and follow a limited vaccination protocol. We will work with our puppy owners to ensure an understanding of these practises for the lifetime benefit of our dogs. Each new owner will be provided with guiding information on vaccines, RAW diets, training, socialization and more! We are committed to being available for questions, concerns, advice and support for the life of our puppies. Our puppies are CKC registered and are given with a CKC Non-Breeding or Co-ownership Agreement as well as a two year written health guarantee. All our dogs are eye, hip and elbow, heart and thyroid tested and cleared before breeding. We encourage questions and visits to our home to ensure an understanding of the quality raising of our puppies.
We are members in good standing of the Canadian Kennel Club and the Nova Scotia Duck Tolling Retriever Club of Canada and follow the regulations of both clubs.
